Board members

At the helm

The TIC board has four members, two of whom are whole-time directors. With wide experience in areas as diverse as journalism and academics and finance, these leaders give strategic direction to the company and define its vision and values.

Kiron Kasbekar Kiron Kasbekar
, managing director, has been in publishing and related businesses for the past two-and-a-half decades. His previous positions include: Editor of The Economic Times, Bombay, Business Editor of The Times of India, and Managing Editor of Business India. It is Kiron's vision and leadership that has successfully steered TIC through crises such as the dotcom bust and the 2009 recession and set the company's feet firmly on the path of rapid growth. He is also the chief architect and inspiration behind the company's foray into innovative software products.

Anjali MathurAnjali Mathur, chief operating officer, has been resident editor of The Sunday Observer and executive editor of Gentleman magazine. She was a delegate to the Special Session on Women of the United Nations General Assembly in 2000, and is a founding member of the Network of Women in Media (India), an association of women journalists from across the country. An excellent communicator, Anjali is the force binding Team TIC and forging the company's lasting relationships with clients.

Sushil KhannaSushil Khanna, a Fellow of the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, and professor, IIM-C, specialises in strategic management issues. He has done consulting for large corporations besides teaching at IIM-C for over three decades. He is a member of the Board for Restructuring Public Sector Enterprises, set up by the government of India, and an advisor to the State Planning Board of the Kerala government. Sushil's wealth of experience in guiding enterprises comes to bear on his role as a mentor to TIC.

S ViswanathanS Viswanathan is an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and a chartered accountant. He has worked with leading organisations, such as Price Waterhouse and World Bank, and with groups such as TVS and RPG. He has over 25 years of experience in the areas of corporate and strategic planning, and finance. For the past few years, Viswanathan has been advising start-ups in the IT arena. TIC too has been banking on his expertise in finance and planning to streamline operations and surge ahead.
