Company profile
Who we are, what we do
The Information Company Private Limited (TIC) focuses on serving business needs in the new digital age. We have expertise in enterprise communication strategies, digital marketing and brand solutions, and enterprise software. We also publish domain-b.com, a premium online news magazine.
Incorporated in India as a company in 1999, TIC is structured into three divisions: communication solutions, software, and media. A bit about each of our divisions:
Communication solutions
This division was launched with the acquisition in early 2000 of our first client, Tata, India's biggest private sector business group. Our relationship, which started with TIC redesigning and managing the Tata group’s corporate website, www.tata.com, has blossomed and expanded to include the full range of the group’s internal and external corporate communication products.
We have an equally happy and enduring relationship with the Aditya Birla Group, which has entrusted us with the design and management of more than a dozen websites, several print and multimedia projects, and the creation of critical software applications.
We started working with the Essar Group comparatively recently, but our relationship is already very strong, encompassing the full range of our expertise in design, content and software. Our clients (see full list here) keep coming back to us with more work because we deliver business results and world-class quality in everything we do.
Software products and services
It’s a clichéd old saw, but we can vouch for its authenticity: for us, necessity has really been the mother of invention. Quite a few of the innovative software products we have developed were in response to our own need to streamline processes and increase efficiency. Among our truly unique products are Organyze, a powerful document management tool which massively enhances the power of Windows Explorer; and Informachine, an information management system which helps organisations reduce their costs of tracking websites for fresh content (including textual, image and video), downloading the content, and managing it.
Our software team is also adept at understanding client requirements and creating robust and user-friendly software solutions for our clients.
Media
TIC’s flagship and India’s first online business magazine, www.domain-b.com was a pioneer of the Internet revolution in India. Its library-style navigation and huge database of business news has made it an important source of authentic information. It receives a premium audience of 55,000 visitors daily, comprising managers, investors and B-school students.
