The brief

Produce Insight, Siemens India's customer magazine. Each issue runs sixteen pages plus a cover and inside covers, built for print and digital PDF with multimedia elements built in. The magazine puts Siemens' event highlights, technology and thought leadership in front of customers, aiming for a premium read rather than a corporate one.

The challenge

Siemens' source material for each issue is dense: event recaps, technical specifications, executive commentary, data from product launches and industry surveys. Turning that into sixteen pages a customer will actually read meant finding a visual language for the data itself, not just laying out the words around it.

Our approach

TIC runs the magazine end to end. Each issue starts with a creative direction session with Siemens' own managers, where both teams agree on the theme, tone and narrative arc before a single page gets built.

On the editorial side, TIC writes the introductory sections that open each issue, writes or edits the articles Siemens supplies, and builds the headlines, summaries and callouts that carry a reader through the issue, all within Siemens' house style.

On design, the data problem gets solved page by page. A statistic like projected peak power demand crossing 350GW by 2030 gets pulled out of its paragraph and set as a standalone circular badge next to the running text. A related sidebar turns five separate Siemens technology names into a five-icon panel instead of five more paragraphs. A boxed highlight breaks out a flagship project as a self-contained example inside a longer feature. The Innovation Showcase section runs four short, colour-tagged briefs (Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Space Technology, Sustainability) instead of one long one, each built around a single number or quote. QR codes sit wherever a reader would want more: beside a leadership quote, a research report, an event recap, so the print and digital versions work as one publication.

Production runs through page layout, image optimisation and colour correction for print, ongoing rounds with the Siemens team for input and approval, and a final quality check for content accuracy, visual consistency and print readiness before anything is delivered.

The Impact

Insight is only two editions old. This second issue already runs the full format end to end: a cover story on India's power grid, a thought-leadership piece built on a 1,400-executive global survey, features from Hannover Messe and Siemens' own India Innovation Day, four Innovation Showcase briefs and a closing Retrospective. The badges, icon panels and boxed highlights built to solve the brief's data problem are already the standard toolkit for the magazine, not something reinvented from scratch each time.
